Due 11/18: setting readings and writing

Write this in your homework agenda!

Readings for the weekend:
- The other side of dark - chapters 7 through 9
- Working Together Magazine - 'My partner, my dog', 'What's your group personality', 'My mother, who came from China...'.

Setting Writing due Monday:
- printed before class, Monday
- emailed to Mr. S. before class, Monday (I have to check for plagiarism), as an attachment
- take the point form notes you wrote and presented on a setting and expand them to between 300 and 500 words
- in sentences and paragraphs
- your name and a title
- format is Times New Roman 12, black, double-spaced

Like the story set in Peru, in 'Working Together Magazine', you will describe one location several times during the day, or several times during a year.  You will write four to six paragraphs, one for each different time of the day (or year).  You can use the notes on a setting you read the other day, or do a completely new location.

We will talk about this more in Friday's class while reviewing this week's readings (bring your two 'magazines').

Practice reading it aloud before Monday!
